This is not my usual highlights DVD. Rather than fill it with varied tornado and storm video (the pickin's were kinda slim in early May!), I decided to focus mainly on telling the complete story of two of the major events; the May 12 Attica KS cyclic tornado producer, and my first hurricane chase, Frances.

So why's it titled "Better Than Pudding"? - You'll see when you watch it! :-)

EVENTS COVERED:
Pre-Season and the Early Days of May "Death Ridge" (10 min) - When you only get 2 weeks each year to chase, you have to take your chances about when to plan the trip. Well, we didn't exactly nail it this time! This covers the first week of the trip, which had lots of blue skies and Great Plains sights n' Sounds.
May 8 (8 min) - Supercells in central Iowa. Lots of hail and lightning, but very low visibility.
May 9th (4 min) - Picturesque, but linear storms in Minnesota.
May 10 & 11 (8 min) - Two days of potential on the high plains, with nothing to show for it.
May 12 (31 min) - FINALLY! 4 tornadoes near Attica KS. Very close, tripoded shots as a house has its roof torn off. Inlaid radar images show locations throughout the chase. These scenes were featured in a recent Storm Stories episode.

Additional video provided by Scott McPartland

Hurricane Frances (41 min) - Quite literally the trip from hell! See what it was like to spend 2 full days in the grips of one of the largest, slowest hurricanes in US history! No electricity, no gas, no way out...see Florida's Trasure Coast the way it was meant to be seen! :-)
